Finnish guitarist Timo Korhonen is one of the most versatile proponents of his instrument in the world. With performances in more than 30 countries, at venues in Berlin, London, Vienna, Paris, Tokyo, Chicago, Los Angeles, and Hong Kong, Korhonen has mastered the entire core repertoire written for classical guitar. He has appeared with orchestras under Esa-Pekka Salonen, Sakari Oramo, Joseph Swensen, Leif Segerstam, and others. He has premiered more than 40 new works and records regularly for the Ondine label. Korhonen’s recordings have earned critical acclaim and received several awards, including the celebrated Cannes Classical Award in 2003.
