Jonathan Crow and Andrew Wan, violin; Eric Nowlin, viola; Brian Manker, cello

The Toronto Star declares, “These four string virtuosos animate every note with uncommon power and passion as well as elegance.” Comprised of the concertmasters and principal cellist and violist of the Montreal and Toronto Symphonies, the New Orford String Quartet is the recipient of two Opus Awards for Concert of the Year and a Juno Award nomination. The group regularly tours throughout North America and has collaborated with pianists Marc-André Hamelin and Menahem Pressler. Dedicated to promoting Canadian works, the quartet frequently programs both new commissions and lesser-known repertoire from the previous century.

Claude Debussy, String Quartet in G Minor, Op. 10
Uriel Vanchestein, Les veuves (The Widows)
Ludwig van Beethoven, String Quartet in E-flat Major, Op. 127
